Life gets busy! That statement probably isn't too much of a surprise to anyone
I imagine if you've got teenagers, you know that trying to get everyone together at the same place and at the same time takes some coordination. If you've got 10 teenagers, you really understand the challenge we face trying to make that happen.
As a side note, if you do have 10 teenagers and you're mostly surviving, can you message me? I have some parenting questions....
Fortunately, our guys are easily bribed. All it took was a couple of salteñas (a Bolivian breakfast food for those of you who've never come to visit us) and they were there. Well, that and I also threatened them to within an inch of their lives.
At any rate, we got the pictures we wanted and had some fun too. One of the pictures I wanted was across this little pond with a nice tree in the background. For some reason the guys thought it was pretty hysterical when I set the timer and then had to run like crazy to get into place before the picture took. The yells of "Run Dad, run!" were a little too reminiscent of "Run Forest, run!" for my liking. The really funny thing is that after trying a half a dozen times, none of those pictures turned out very well.
The great thing is, we always have fun when we're together. There are lots of laughs...and not even always at my expense. I love how God has brought such an unlikely family together.
